About Le Select & Cheeseburger In Paradise

From what I can remember, the bar was opened in 1949 by a fisherman named Marius Stakelborough. He wanted to make a better living for his family, and fishing wasn't quite working. In the late 1970's, he made an agreement with Jimmy Buffett that he could use the name "Cheeseburger In Paradise" in exchange for a lifelong free tab.

Jimmy played concerts for the 50th Anniversary and 60th anniversary celebrations in 1999 and 2009.
