About Magens Bay Beach

Magens Bay Beach is a world famous, extremely beautiful beach white sand beach located on the northern (Atlantic Ocean) shore of St. Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands. It is approximately 1 mile long and is almost always calm. There is an arboretum and a coconut tree grove on the beach. The exotic tree collection was originally planted by Arthur S. Fairchild, the former owner of the beach property1. For nature lovers there is also a hiking trail.

Water Sports

Kayaking and snorkelling are popular at Magens Bay. There are reefs on either side of the beach and rental equipment is available. Prices are listed at the bottom of this page.

Food and Drinks

A concession area (we liked the pizza) and a full bar sit right in the middle of the beach near the entrance. Servers will gladly bring you whatever you need so you don't have to work too hard.
