About the Anguilla Beaches We’ve Visited

The 33 Anguilla beaches are extremely picturesque and have some of the clearest water and whitest sands in the Caribbean. So far, the two Anguilla beaches we’ve visited stand out in our minds as some of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen.

Meads Bay Beach, The Best Sunsets of All Anguilla Beaches

Beautiful Meads Bay Beach in Anguilla during our July 2008 trip to St. Maarten.

Meads Bay is a beautiful contribution to the list of 33 Anguilla beaches. We were able to enjoy a beautiful sunset at Meads Bay Beach after dining at Blanchard’s Restaurant. What a spectacular sight! Mel and Bob Blanchard could not have chosen a more beautiful strand of beach to build their restaurant on. The fact that it faces the western sky all but guarantees you a breathtaking sunset after every meal. The fluffy white sand feels so good on your bare feet after a tasty meal. Beautiful Shoal Bay Beach in Anguilla during our July 2008 trip to St. Maarten.

Shoal Bay Beach is currently our favorite of the two Anguilla beaches we’ve visited. God must have been trying to spoil us forever, because we had an absolutely perfect day. We were there during our July 2008 trip to St. Maarten for our fourth wedding anniversary. We were staying right on the beach at Shoal Bay Villas. The water was as calm and as clear as glass. The snorkeling was amazing. We saw a sea turtle, stingrays, and tons of fish and conch. While we understand the risks of traveling to the Caribbean during the Atlantic hurricane season, it sure helps you have the beach to yourself – there was almost no one within sight. Anguilla’s Beaches are Calling

If anything can convince us to return to Anguilla, it will most definitely be the beautiful Anguilla beaches. We can’t wait to get back and we are sure our daughters will love it there as well. Some day we hope to stay on Anguilla longer than one night so we can get around to most or all of the other beaches on the island. When we finally do, we will report it all back to you here!
