Well, it's been about a month now since we got home from Punta Cana, Domincan Republic. We finally got our pictures all on the website, so feel free to check em out. We had an amazing vacation. Would definitely recommend the Domincan to anyone interested in having a nice, relaxing, warm, tropical vacation! We spent 7 days at the Ocean Bavaro Spa & Beach Resort.

It got off to a bit of a rocky start as we missed our connecting flight in Ft. Lauderdale Florida and unfortunately had to stay the night there and wait for the next flight out to Punta Cana :( But we didn't let this get us down, we took a taxi to the beach and slept there for most of the day! When we finally got back to the airport the following day, we were pleased to find out that we had been bumped up to 1st class. Our first time flying 1st class, and we'll never fly coach again! Your own personal server and FREE drinks/food from take-off to landing!!

We went snorkeling, swimming w/ Sharks & Stingrays twice, went on two boat excursions, kayaked, went shopping, and did a lot of Relaxing at the beach! The people were friendly, the food was delicious, and there was plenty of it being that there were 7 restaurants to choose from on the resort! The Domincan's speak Spanish and the majority of the tourists were French, therefore we found it a bit difficult to communicate, but we got through it. And immediately when we got home we went out and bought "Teach Yourself Spanish" kit :)

All in all, we had a great vacation. We brought home plenty of souveneirs, we bought 2 awesome paintings for the house, a flamingo, jewelry, and lots of photos.

The only thing that would have made this trip even better is if our friends James & Autumn from Minnesota could have accompanied us, but no worries cause we're already planning the next trip together!!
