There are many of the typical methods of transportation in Anguilla, including rental cars, taxis, airplanes, and ferries to and from other islands. We’ve had experiences with the taxis and ferries.

Our Experiences with Transportation in Anguilla

We visited Anguilla in July of 2008 for our fourth wedding anniversary during our trip to St. Maarten. We took the ferry over from St-Martin and then took taxis while on the island.

Ferries to and from Anguilla

To get to Anguilla from St-Martin, we took the ferry over to Blowing Point, Anguilla from Marigot, St-Martin. The ride was fast, taking only about 20 minutes, and wasn’t too rough compared to some other ferries we have been on. Read more about the ferries to and from Anguilla…

Taxis in Anguilla

Once on the island, we had the pleasure of riding in taxis driven by the very friendly drivers of Anguilla. All of the taxis we used were vans. On our way to dinner, we were picked up by “Teddy the Taxi Driver,” made famous to us in the book, “A Trip to the Beach”. Read more about the taxis in Anguilla…
